Success Story Shared by Meisha Taylor

My name is Meisha B. Taylor and I am a proud 2007-08 graduate of the Old Stone Center for Education (CMSD). My experience at Old Stone Center for Education has been tremendous. The staff is great and so are all the opportunities that they offer. Others schools that I’ve attended in the past lack in providing support. The staff at Old Stone is like a family that I have never had.

Since I’ve graduated from Old Stone, so many opportunities have opened up for me. I am currently pursuing an internship at the Center for Dialysis Care located on Euclid. I really enjoy it. It is a great experience. I will soon begin training to be a Certified Dialysis Technician. Also, I will be a first time college student majoring in health in a few weeks at Cuyahoga Community College.

Without Old Stone, I wouldn’t have accomplished these things. I owe it to the Old Stone Center for Education. Thanks Old Stone!

The mission of the Old Stone Foundation in partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District has been to improve the quality of life for moms and moms-to-be in Cuyahoga County who did not complete their high school careers by providing opportunities in education, family structure and job skills.
